Mafia Wars Points

Skill points are one of the fundamental advancement tools found in the game Mafia Wars. They are perhaps the single most important aspect of the game when it comes to being able to advance your character, become more powerful and be able to advance your character through the various jobs and challenges of the game.

There are several existing ways to obtain Mafia Wars points. You can complete jobs, level up and obtain them through exchange of reward points. When you complete a job level, you obtain a skill point. When you level up you generally receive five points and you can purchase them by exchanging reward points. Reward points can be obtained through a variety of methods including monetary purchase. However, it is not necessary to purchase reward points in order to obtain skill points or play the game. Skill points are obtained through the natural progression of the game.

Several areas are available for Mafia Wars points to be used. These are attack, defense, health, energy, stamina and the new influence attribute. It is important to spend these points wisely, as they determine the rate you can advance in the game. Where you spend them however is entirely up to you and the type of game you are planning on playing.

The Standard Mafia Attributes

The attributes you will be able to spend skill points on consist of attack, defense, stamina, health, energy and influence. Attack gives you the basic points of attack in other words how strong you are. Defense adds to the strength of your defense. Health increases your life and increases your chances of surviving an attack and stamina is what is used to determine the number of times that you can attack another player in the game. Influence determines how many rackets you shake down at any given time.

Attack

Attack strength in mafia wars is a combination of your personal strength, the strength of your Mafia and a combination of the attack points of items that you purchase or pick up (in a fight, the game will determine and use the best item). You can increase your attack strength in a 1:1 ratio with skill points.

Defense

Like attack, defense is a combination of your points, your mafia’s points, and the points that come from items that are found or purchased from the game. In Mafia wars defense based items are faster to obtain than using skill points to increase defense. You can increase your defense strength in a ratio of 1:1.

Health

Health is not used in Mafia wars for anything other than boss attacks, fights and work as a hit man for other mafias. As with Attack and Defense attributes health is also on a 1:1 ratio.

Stamina

This attribute is a 2:1 ratio. This means it takes two skill points to advance stamina a single point. Stamina is used to determine the number of attacks you can make on other players either from the hit list or fights options in the game.

Energy

Energy is the basic attribute of the game. It allows the player to complete jobs and the more energy you have the more jobs you can perform at a given time increasing your speed of advancement. These attribute is also in a 1:1 ratio.

The New Attribute – Influence

Influence allows you to run rackets. You need influence in order to shake down each business you own. As with most of the others, this attribute is also 1:1.

Mafia Wars skill points are the most important aspect to the game. They allow you to increase your attributes, most importantly your energy which allows you to complete more jobs in a smaller amount of time.
