Mafia Wars Job Rackets
There are three Mafia Wars job rackets, these provide no cash value but offer “boosts” instead. A boost is a consumable items that gives you more power, defense or reduces energy used when doing jobs. Here are a few of the more important things to know about boosts:
- Once used, a boost is is gone from your inventory.
- Boosts cannot be stacked If a boost gives you a +20 attack bonus you cannot use two of them at the same time to get a +40 attack bonus.
- Besides getting boosts from rackets, you can buy boosts or get them from collections.
- Boosts are used automatically.
Each time you shakedown a Mafia Wars job racket you receive 2 boosts, this increases to 3 once you have mastered the racket.
Mafia Wars rackets all give you 1 experience point when you collect. They also cost and reward you the same amount of influence points. The maximum number of rackets you can run is 20.

Taxi Stand (requires level 40 to unlock)

- Free Ride x 2 (x 3 when mastered)
- -3 job energy cost
- 1 experience point
- 5 influence points
Each shakedown increases mastery by 7%.
Trucking Company (master Taxi Stand Mastery to unlock)
What You Gain
- Truck Driver x 2 (x 3 when mastered)
- -6 job energy cost
- 1 experience point
- 16 influence points
Each shakedown increases mastery by 4%.
Shipping Company (master Trucking Company Mastery to unlock)
What You Gain
- Political Favor x 2 (x 3 when mastered)
- +60 robbing defense
- 1 experience point
- 38 influence points
Each shakedown increases mastery by 2%.
